H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Information
At Independence Administrators, we want you to be prepared with everything you need to know to keep your family healthy. The World Health Organization (WHO) raised the swine flu alert to its highest level — Phase 6 — saying the H1N1 virus has spread to enough countries to be considered a global pandemic. Increasing the alert to Phase 6 does not mean that the disease is deadlier or more dangerous than before, just that it has spread to more countries.
Like organizations worldwide, we are closely monitoring the current threat from a pandemic H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak and staying in close touch with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health organizations. We are also taking steps to make sure we will be there to serve you should a pandemic occur. In the event of an outbreak, we will follow the precautions and recommendations from the CDC and federal, state, and local governments.
