In-network Providers
Your group health plan gives you access to a variety of doctors and hospitals in your provider network. These doctors and hospitals are called in-network providers and are grouped into one of three tiers.
- Tier 1 includes Jefferson Network providers.
- Tier 2 includes Partner Network providers.
- Tier 3 includes Independence Administrators Network providers.
Those providers not in your plan’s network are called out-of-network providers. You pay less when you get care from a Jefferson Network (Tier 1) provider and more when using other in-network providers.
As in prior years, tiering of providers is subject to change throughout the year. It is your responsibility to confirm that your providers are in the Jefferson Network (Tier 1) or our Partner Network (Tier 2) to pay lower costs when you receive care.
Looking for a lab? All LabCorp locations, including the Jefferson outpatient labs, are in the Jefferson Network (Tier 1). Quest labs are now considered out-of-network.
