In-network Providers
Your group health plan gives you access to a variety of doctors and hospitals in your provider network. These doctors and hospitals are called in-network providers and are grouped into three different networks. You pay less when you get care from providers in the first level network and more when using other in-network providers. Those providers not in your health plan’s network are called out-of-network providers.
However, please note that not all health plans include the same providers in each of the different networks. For example, in the Jefferson First plan, the Jefferson Only Network is Jefferson/LVHN employed providers, and the Affiliates & Preferred Pediatrics Network is Jefferson/LVHN affiliated physicians, Main Line Health, and other affiliated and preferred pediatric providers.
For all other plan options, the Jefferson and Affiliates Network includes Jefferson/LVHN employed and affiliated providers, Main Line Health, and other affiliated providers. The Preferred Pediatrics Network includes preferred pediatric providers. Please consider the mix of providers you and/or your family utilize when selecting which plan option suits your needs.
As in prior years, the networks are subject to change throughout the year. You are responsible for confirming that your providers are in the first or second networks so that you can pay lower costs when you receive care.
Jefferson First: Search Jefferson/LVHN employed providers in the Jefferson Only Network and Main Line Health and other affiliated providers in the Affiliates & Preferred Pediatrics Network.
Jefferson Choice, Jefferson Select, and Jefferson HDHP: Search Jefferson/LVHN employed and affiliated providers, Main Line Health and other affiliated providers in the Jefferson & Affiliates Network, and preferred pediatric providers in the Preferred Pediatrics Network.
